Hello from Argentina,
The days are cold but bright; and the shadows are long.
The pandemic is gathering pace in South America and the local businesses are suffering. Movements are restricted, airports still closed, face masks still mandatory and the locals are staying in. The people here are used to crises and uncertainty and keep marching on. I admire them hugely.
As for us - we are enjoying our last weeks here in beautiful Mendoza before heading home to NZ. It’s been a difficult decision to leave here but with so many unknowns and restrictions, we feel it’s the right thing to do.
We are fortunate to have options and NZ is a great one right now.

Hola! Welcome back
An update from me to let you know that we are still meandering in Mendoza, post-lockdown. We can now head out to shops, restaurants and parks - with restrictions and social distancing.
it has been fantastic to get out and about in our local neighborhood.
The autumn here is beautiful. Mendoza is a city of tree-lined streets and many plazas and parks that are crowned with richly-hued deciduous trees; laden with leaves. That, paired with the dry and dusty earth and the biscuit-coloured buildings, and I have a perfect palette from which to work
On the home front, we are still homeschooling our three children. It has its daily challenges! And impacts hugely on my ability to be creative and get into the studio to paint. That said, I’m inspired daily by my surroundings and am slowly getting together a new body of work.

Hello! Summer school holidays have been in busy, noisy, happy full swing.
I've barely picked up a brush! I am now officially chomping at the bit to get into the studio and start some work on some exciting new projects and paintings.
These are all little (25 x 25cm) colour studies that serve me as a guide for colour and composition for my larger paintings. I currently have three big landscapes on the go that speak to this.
These paintings are great, affordable original artworks.

October for me has been a month of commissions. I’ve been fortunate enough to paint some new landscapes for clients locally and overseas. It’s wonderful to know the people who will own and enjoy the works.
Up next is a group show in Blenheim, at Millennium Gallery. 
'Afternoon On Wither Hills'
‘Inside/Outside’ is an exhibition showcasing still life and landscape artworks from six artists. Looks like a fascinating mix and I’m thrilled to finally be debuting in Marlborough! The show opens 6pm 7th November and runs until 9 December. I would love to see you on opening night from 6pm, or call in to Millennium anytime over the month-long exhibition. Hello lovely people!
I'm excited to let you know that the first of my original paintings are now available in Auckland. Endemic World on Ponsonby Road have four small works for sale and I will be sending more paintings North just as soon as I can finish them.
Endemic World has a fantastic selection of original art available, as well as beautiful affordable art prints and a great website for online shopping. I'm super pleased to be working with them.
Meanwhile, the studio is full of new works on the go, as I complete some commissions and explore some new ideas. Stay tuned!

What an amazing response to my latest exhibition, 'Mezcla' at RED Gallery in Nelson. We had a fantastic opening night on Friday 18th May with most works sold.
Hello Hello,
I'm excited to be preparing for a new solo exhibition at RED Gallery + Design Store here in Nelson, NZ. It opens at 5.30pm on Friday 18th May and I would love to see you there.
Suzi and Ant at RED Gallery have been hugely supportive of my work since taking over the gallery a year ago. It's always thrilling for me to call in to their beautiful space and sup on a delicious coffee and see my paintings on their walls.
I've been working on this collection of new paintings for months. It is a culmination of thoughts, walks and studies of my local landscape and still life vignettes.
The studio is packed with colour studies, empty paint tubes; linens and canvases. It is a thrilling time for me - as the energy in the studio heightens leading up to the exhibition opening night.
